With a farming background and hands-on experience in estate and farm management, Elspeth brings practical insight and a deep understanding of land use to every project.

Her career previously entailed managing a diverse range of properties on behalf of landowning clients before moving to work on behalf of a grid operator. Elspeth has now returned to a role where she advises landowner clients on complex energy project. Elspeth knows how operators work, how to apply their requirements, and how to bridge the gap between technical demands and landowners’ goals.

Negotiations are where Elspeth shines and she relishes the detail, whether it’s untangling the technicalities of leases, identifying loopholes, or balancing disruption across multiple projects. Her ability to keep projects moving, no matter how complex, is matched by her passion for seeing them succeed - especially when clients view them as vital, long-term revenue streams.

A standout project is one where a landowning client has a previous wind farm project rejected on their land due to planning issues. Years later, policy changes reignited interest and Elspeth is now overseeing the tender process and analysing submissions, turning a past setback into a fresh opportunity.

Beyond her consultancy work, Elspeth plays a key role in rental management. She ensures tenants meet their obligations throughout their leases, safeguarding long-term value for her clients. Away from the office, Elspeth remains firmly connected to her roots as a committee member of the Scottish Dorset Sheep Association. It’s a role that reflects her commitment to both tradition and progress - values she brings to every project she tackles.
