Our Apprenticeship programme allows talented individuals to build a successful career in real estate whilst gaining a salary, on the job and formal training aswell as a recognised qualification at the end.


Across our business, we offer many Apprenticeships and Degree Apprenticeships, ranging from Accountancy to Chartered Surveying. Whatever your age and whatever your background, you could find working in real estate is the career for you!

For all apprenticeships, you will be given time off every week to study towards your qualification. Depending on your provider, taught sessions could be in person or online. You can also use your off-the-job learning time to conduct independent study!

What is an apprenticeship?

An apprenticeship is a structured work-based training program that combines on-the-job training with formal study to provide individuals with the skills and knowledge needed for a specific profession. Apprenticeships give individuals a chance to earn whilst they learn with the guidance of experienced professionals aswell as gaining a formal qualification at the end of it!

When can I apply?

At Bidwells, we don’t have a specific date for advertising Apprentice positions. We advertise roles depending on the business need.

We offer fully funded Apprenticeships where you will receive a formal qualification at the end of the course. Level 2-5 Apprenticeships take between 12-24 months to complete depending on your course provider and your appetite for learning. We work with a variety of providers to suit individual learning styles. Providers offer in person classroom study, remote online learning or a combination of the two! All apprenticeships come with a supportive tutor to help you throughout the duration of your course.

Tell me more about the Degree Apprenticeships you offer

Our RICS Chartered Surveying Degree Apprenticeships are typically 5-year courses. They involve part-time degree study where the taught sessions happen in person at University or via remote sessions. You will also be given adequate time to conduct independent study.  Full on the job training and support will be provided and we will also support you through your APC to ensure you become a fully qualified Surveyor!

We offer degree apprenticeships in:

  • Building Surveying
  • Project Management
  • Rural Surveying

Requirements:

  • Minimum of B, B, C at A Level (or equivalent)
  • 18 years +
  • GCSE in English and Maths Level 4 or above
  • Passionate about a real estate career
How much time will I have to study?

As part of the apprenticeship programme you will be given dedicated time off per week to conduct your study, this is usually referred to ask ‘off the job training’. The government requires all apprentices to spend atleast 6 hours per week (equivalent) of their working hours in off the job training. Depending on your course and provider, these 6 hours may be spend attending classroom lectures, conducting self study or shadowing a colleague.

What is the application process?

Stage 1: Online application. At this stage you will be required to submit an online application along with your CV and cover letter. We will ask you specific questions related to the role and your future goals.

Stage 2. If your application is successful, you will have a telephone call with a member of our Talent team! The main aim of this stage is to understand more about you as a person including your current skills and experience aswell as understanding why you think you’re suitable for the role and what you know about the industry.

Stage 3: For apprenticeships, if successful, you will be invited for a face-to-face interview with the hiring manager and someone from our People team. This will typically last 1 hour.

For Degree Apprenticeships, we run an Assessment Centre which consists of industry-related tasks, group exercises, interviews and lunch. This will typically last around 4 hours.

Stage 4. If required, we may bring you back in an informal manner to meet additional members of the team.

Stage 4: Offer. You will be phoned by our Talent team with details of the offer and the course we will put you on, this will be followed up by an email copy of your contract.  

What qualifications could I gain?

You will gain a nationally recognised qualification depending on what Apprenticeship route you take.

For Apprenticeships here is an example of the qualifications you could gain:

  • Accountancy (AAT, ACCA, ACA or CIMA qualification)
  • Marketing (CIM qualification)
  • HR (CIPD qualification)

 

For Degree Apprenticeships here is an example of the degrees you will gain:

  • Rural Surveying BSC
  • Building Surveying BSC
  • Architecture BSC
  • Planning BSC

We also offer RTPI Masters degree apprenticeships within Planning!
